PersiaPort provides an online platform that connects Service Providers who have services to sell to Users who are seeking to book such services (collectively, the “Services”) and also provides Contents (defined below) which Contents and Services are accessible at persiaport.com (collectively, the “Web Site”)
“Contents” means all Content that PersiaPort makes available through its Web Site such as text, image, and video or user comments.
“Service Provider” means a Person such as a tour guide or a legal entity such as a traveling agency who creates a Service/Product Listing via the Web Site.
“User” means a Person who uses the Web Site or requests from a Service Provider a Service or purchase a product via the Web Site.
What do we do with your information?
When you access the Web Site or purchase a service from the Web Site we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse the Web Site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing: We may send you emails about the Web Site, new services and other updates.
How does PersiaPort share your data with third parties?
In certain circumstances, we may share your personal data with third parties.
- The Service Provider you choose: In order to complete service delivery, we need to transfer relevant information to the Service Provider you have selected. This may include information such as your name, your contact details, your payment details, the names of guests traveling with you, any preferences you specified, contents of online form when making a booking, enquiry or fill an online form. This information may also be used by PersiaPort or Service Providers to give you personalized offers. If you have a query about the service, we may contact the service provider and ask them to handle your request.
- Local PersiaPort partners: In order to support you during the service delivery process, your details may be shared with partners of PersiaPort.
- Competent authorities: We disclose personal data to law enforcement and other governmental authorities insofar as it is required by law or is strictly necessary for the prevention, detection or prosecution of criminal acts and fraud.
Payment Gateways and payment transaction processors
The payments in the Web Site are processed securely via third-party payment processing gateways. Payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your booking or purchase-related transactions. We recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
At no point during the payment transaction does PersiaPort take custody or store your credit card information.
How does PersiaPort use social media?
We use social media to promote Contents or Services of Service Providers. For example, we have integrated social media plugins into the Web Site. So when you click on one of the buttons and register with your social media account, information is shared with your social media provider, and possibly presented on your social media profile to be shared with others in your network.
We may also enable you to sign in to PersiaPort Web Site with your social media accounts. Your social media provider will be able to tell you more about how they use and process your data in such cases.
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
